On Sunday, Prince William and Kate Middleton will celebrate Prince Louis’ fifth birthday.
To commemorate the occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales published brand-new images of their youngest son on Saturday.
“Someone turns five tomorrow…A birthday cake and a partying smiley face were included as emojis in the description of the couple’s Instagram image, which they titled “A very happy birthday to Prince Louis.”
Louis was seen beaming at his mother in the first picture as she pushed him around while he was sitting on top of a pile of grass and leaves in a wheelbarrow.
The little prince was dressed in blue shorts and a bright blue alpine-style pullover over a blue and white checkered collared shirt. In the photo, Kate, 41, was just half visible. She was wearing a black and white striped jumper.
The second image showed Louis in the wheelbarrow up close, grinning widely and gazing off into the distance.

Millie Pilkington, a British portrait photographer, was mentioned in the post by William, 40, and Kate. The pictures were shot by Pilkington in Windsor earlier this month, according to a news release that was sent by Buckingham Palace on Saturday along with the photos.

The most recent royal photo shoot represented a change from precedent because Kate typically takes the family portraits that are published on significant occasions. At the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she initially met William, the Duchess of Cambridge studied art history and is an enthusiastic amateur photographer.
She received the honorary title of patron of the Royal Photographic Society in 2019, which was given to her by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
For Louis’ 4th birthday, Kate took pictures of Louis having fun at the beach as he was dressed in a gray pullover with multicolored stars and blue shorts.
In images taken for Louis’ third birthday, the prince was seen getting ready for his first day of school at London’s Willcocks Nursery School while riding a red bike and carrying a backpack.

Louis, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, are all shared by William and Kate.
The Times reports that on May 6, the three kids of the marriage will take part in their grandfather King Charles III’s approaching coronation. They will accompany their parents in a carriage behind a Gold State Coach that will be carrying King Charles and Queen Camilla, the outlet claimed last month.
Louis’ internet fame during Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee weekend last year has made royal watchers eager to see him at the coronation.
Louis and his siblings rode in a carriage during the Trooping the Colour. He waved heartily at the crowd for a moment before Charlotte tried to stop him.
Later, while the Royal Air Force performed a flypast, the young prince sat with his family on their balcony at the palace. He displayed a number of amusing face expressions that went viral on social media. He was screaming and protecting his ears close to the queen, and the picture instantly went viral.

When Louis’ family attended the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, the weekend’s grand finale, he went viral once more. While his mother was trying to correct him, he made a lot of amusing faces.
